Introducing Searching for Syria, a responsive, interactive experience made in partnership with UNHCR. A new way for people to learn about Syria and the Syrian refugee crisis by exploring five of the most common search queries that people around the world are asking. Each question allows you to explore some of the detail behind the answer, combining UNHCR data with Google Maps, satellite imagery, videos, photography, and stories from refugees.

In its first few days, the site had 25M page views, and 1.7M unique users who have spent a collective 10 years interacting with the content. The site was shared 90K times across social media, and captured the interest of KOFs across the political spectrum from UNHCR special envoy Angelina Jolie, to The Kite Runner author Khaled Hosseini, to conservative U.S. anchor Glenn Beck. The launch video currently sitting at over 4.3M views. SearchingForSyria.org
